Delete Your Account
You can delete your CoSkipper account and the data associated with it at any time. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
1. Delete your account in the app
- Open the CoSkipper app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion. The app shows you beforehand exactly which voyages will be deleted and which will be handed over to your crew.
2. Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, send an email to [email protected] from the email address registered to your account, asking for your account to be deleted. We verify the request via that address and carry out the same deletion as in the app, normally within a few days and at the latest within 30 days.
3. What is deleted
- Your sign-in account (email, or the link to your Apple or Google account — a Sign in with Apple connection is also revoked with Apple).
- Your profile including all crew-list details and your profile picture.
- All files you uploaded (photos, documents).
- The voyages you own, including their planning data, checklists, logbook and ship's kitty entries.
4. What is retained, and for how long
- Completed voyages with other crew members are handed over to another crew member instead of being deleted, so the others do not lose their shared logbook, sea-mile records and safety briefing. Your profile data is removed from them; what remains is the fact that you were part of the crew. If no other crew member took part, the voyage is deleted in full.
- Content that other crew members need as part of their own records (for example a shared logbook entry) may remain with them.
- Authentication logs and crash reports are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically.
- Email correspondence with us is kept until your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
